Alissa Sampogna's admiration for written correspondence began as a child, with eloquently worded letters to Santa. These letters still exist, stored in a shoebox mixed with postcards from college friends, notes from overseas penpals and loveletters from boot camp.

As an illustrator and designer of handmade stationery, Alissa hopes to evoke that sentimental feeling that comes from receiving a handwritten letter. Her Chappaqua, New York store is a curious collection of cards, boxed notes, journals and fine writing instruments that help to sustain what many consider a dying art.
